PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a route guidance device with which it is possible to present good route guidance even when GPS-based means for automatically locating the current position is unusable.SOLUTION: A route guidance device comprises: acceptance means for accepting an input for specifying the current position; current position specification means for specifying the current position on the basis of the input accepted by the acceptance means; bearing recognition means for recognizing the bearing of a specific direction of an enclosure of the route guidance device; a display unit provided with a display screen; map display means for displaying, on the display screen of the display unit, a map including the current position specified by the current position specification means and showing a route to a destination, with a route that a user must travel along and that corresponds to the direction of the enclosure of the route guidance device matched to the bearing on the basis of the bearing recognized by the bearing recognition means; and position specification information display means for displaying information for specifying a position that exists in a route from the current position to the destination and that is recognizable to the user.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
