PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce driving torque and brake force required for moving a self-propelled moving device along a path member including a path portion extending in a substantially vertical direction.SOLUTION: A self-propelled moving device 1 moves along a slender path member 100, which includes a path portion extending in a substantially vertical direction, by rotational driving force of driving rotors 11A, 11B that are in contact with a peripheral surface of the path member. An axial direction of a projected rotary shaft when a rotary shaft of the driving rotor is projected on a virtual surface including a longitudinal direction of the path member is in an inclined state with respect to the longitudinal direction of the path member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
