PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reaction force output device that can improve accuracy in detecting currents supplied to a motor.SOLUTION: The reaction force output device comprises: a driving portion that drives a driving member by transmitting driving force of a motor to the driving member via a gear mechanism so as to output to an operator to be operated by a driver force in the opposite direction of an operation direction of the operator; current detecting portions that detect motor currents supplied to the motor; and a control portion that controls currents to be supplied to the motor on the basis of positive directional currents detected by the current detecting portions at timing at which currents in a positive direction are flown to the motor and negative directional currents detected by the current detecting portions at timing at which currents in a negative direction are flown to the motor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
