PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a coupling member for an automatic carrier which makes it easy to introduce into a relatively small-scale conveyance system; and the automatic carrier.SOLUTION: A coupling plate 4 for an automatic carrier includes: a first coupling hole 41 that accommodates therein a first coupling pin 31A included in a tow car 2; a second coupling hole 42 that accommodates a second coupling pin 31B therein; and a guide structure formed so as to face in the shape of being widened toward the end around the first coupling hole 41 and so as to include a pair of inside surfaces interfering with the first coupling pin 31A.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
