PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of properly selecting a traveling locus.SOLUTION: A traveling locus selection system uses, for example, a threshold, which relates to a sideways distance from a self vehicle to a candidate locus, to select a candidate locus, which is present within a threshold range, from among candidate loci (see Fig. 5A), and extracts a candidate vehicle, the distance from the self vehicle of which is the smallest, from among candidate vehicles having the selected candidate locus (see Fig. 5B). The traveling locus of the thus extracted candidate vehicle is selected and information on the selected traveling locus is outputted to an ECU. Further, for example, a threshold relating to the distance from the self vehicle is used to extract candidate vehicles, which are present within a threshold distance range, from among candidate loci. A traveling locus the sideways distance of which is the smallest is selected from among traveling loci of the extracted candidate vehicles, and outputted to the ECU. Accordingly, for example, erroneous selection of a traveling locus of an adjoining vehicle can be inhibited. A probability that a traveling locus of a vehicle whose behavior is different from that of the self vehicle may be excluded from candidates to be selected can be raised.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】走行軌跡をより適切に選定可能な技術を提供する。【解決手段】走行軌跡選定装置は、例えば、自車両から候補軌跡までの横方向距離に関するしきい値を用いて、候補軌跡の中からしきい値範囲内にある候補軌跡を選択し(図5A参照)、選択した候補軌跡を持つ候補車両の中から、自車両との距離が最小である候補車両を抽出する(図5B参照)。こうして抽出した候補車両の走行軌跡を選択し、選択した走行軌跡に関する情報をECUへ出力する。また例えば、自車両との距離に関するしきい値を用いて、候補軌跡の中からしきい値距離範囲内にある候補車両を抽出し、抽出した候補車両の走行軌跡の中から、横方向距離が最小である走行軌跡を選択してECUへ出力する。これにより、例えば隣接車両の走行軌跡を誤って選択してしまうことを抑制でき、自車両との挙動が異なる車両の走行軌跡を選定候補から除外できる蓋然性を高めることもできる。【選択図】図5
