PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damping force control device for a suspension that enables improvement of accuracy of estimated relative speed of a damper over a wide range of damping coefficients.SOLUTION: A damping force control device for controlling a damping force control value P of a damper includes: a relative speed estimation device 3 for estimating relative speed of a wheel to a vehicle body; and a damping force calculation device for determining the damping force control value P on the basis of a control input variable and estimated relative speed yob of the vehicle body. The relative speed estimation device 3 estimates damping force on the basis of the estimated relative speed yob and the damping force control value P. Estimated damping force uob is corrected by a delay correction section 6 to obtain estimated damping force ux after delay correction, and based on the estimated damping force ux after delay correction and the relative speed estimation device input variable, the estimated relative speed yob is calculated. The delay correction section 6 corrects the estimated damping force uob on the basis of the damping force control value P, and makes delay correction terms differ from each other so that in a plurality of different damping coefficients of the damper, a gap between actually-measured relative speed and the estimated relative speed yob is made smaller.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】広範囲の減衰係数にわたってダンパーの推定相対速度の精度を向上させることができるサスペンションの減衰力制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】減衰力制御装置は、ダンパーの減衰力制御値Pを制御するものであり、車体に対する車輪の相対速度を推定する相対速度推定装置3と、車体の制御入力変数と推定相対速度yobとに基づいて減衰力制御値Pを決定する減衰力演算装置とを備える。相対速度推定装置3は、推定相対速度yob及び減衰力制御値Pに基づいて減衰力を推定し、遅れ補正部6で推定減衰力uobを補正して遅れ補正後推定減衰力uxを得て、遅れ補正後推定減衰力uxと相対速度推定装置入力変数とに基づいて推定相対速度yobを算出する。遅れ補正部6は、減衰力制御値Pに基づいて推定減衰力uobを補正し、ダンパーの複数の異なる減衰係数において実測の相対速度と推定相対速度yobの乖離が小さくなるように遅れ補正項を異ならせる。【選択図】図5
