PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power-assisted bicycle capable of improving traveling stability in starting or at a low speed while generating optimum assist driving force.SOLUTION: An electric power-assisted bicycle comprises a torque sensor, a pedal rotation sensor, a vehicle speed sensor, a steering angle sensor, a battery, an operation and display part, an arithmetic processing unit, a motor drive circuit, and an electric motor. The arithmetic processing unit acquires detection results of the respective sensors (step 100), and determines whether or not the vehicle is started (step 102). When start is determined, the electric motor is controlled with a torque variation preset according to a steering angle θ detected by the steering angle sensor (steps 104-112).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】最適な補助駆動力を発生しつつ発進時や低速時における走行安定性を向上することが可能な電動補助自転車を提供する。【解決手段】電動補助自転車は、トルクセンサ、ペダル回転センサ、車速センサ、舵角センサ、バッテリ、操作・表示部、演算処理装置、モータ駆動回路及び電動モータを備え、演算処理装置は、各センサの検出結果を取得して(ステップ100)、発進か否かを判定する(シテップ102)。そして、発進と判定された場合に、舵角センサによって検出された舵角θに応じて予め定めたトルク変化量で電動モータの制御を行う(ステップ104〜112)。【選択図】図4
