PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress inclination of a cross-axis gear due to occurrence of moment, improving the performance of a rigidity backlash in meshing the cross-axis gear.SOLUTION: A steering apparatus for an in-wheel motor vehicle includes a steering mechanism S1 that is disposed on an axial line of a king pin shaft Kp and steers a motor-driven steering wheel 1 around the king pin shaft Kp by means of rotation of an ununiform speed face gear 23 (a cross-axis gear). In the steering apparatus, a pressing spring 24 for exerting a pressing force in a direction of increasing a gear-meshing force is disposed beneath a gear-meshing portion 29 of the ununiform speed face gear 23.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】モーメントの発生による交差軸ギヤの軸倒れを抑制することで、交差軸ギヤの噛み合い剛性ガタ性能を向上すること。【解決手段】キングピン軸Kpの軸線上に配置され、不等速フェースギヤ23(交差軸ギヤ)の回転によりキングピン軸Kpの周りにモータ駆動転舵輪1を転舵させる転舵機構S1を備える。このインホイールモータ車用ステアリング装置において、不等速フェースギヤ23のギヤ噛み合い部29の下方位置に、ギヤ噛み合い力を増す方向の押し付け力を与える押し付けバネ24を配置した。【選択図】図2
