PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply controller that has an excellent charge/discharge characteristic and is capable of quick changeover from a commercial power supply, and a control method for the power supply controller.SOLUTION: A power supply controller and a power supply control method for controlling changeover between a commercial power supply and a hybrid storage battery comprising a lithium ion secondary battery and a lead storage battery comprise: an outage recognition device for recognizing, at the time of outage of the commercial power supply, an outage state of the commercial power supply; and an instantaneous changeover device for changing over from the commercial power supply to the hybrid storage battery to supply power to a load, when the outage recognition device has recognized outage of the commercial power supply. The hybrid storage battery has a configuration in which the lithium ion secondary battery and the lead storage battery are disposed in parallel and are driven simultaneously.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】良好な充放電特性を有するとともに、商用電源からの迅速な切り替えが可能な電源制御装置、及びそのような電源制御装置の制御方法を提供する。【解決手段】リチウムイオン二次電池及び鉛蓄電池を備えたハイブリッド蓄電池と、商用電源と、の切替えを制御する電源制御装置及び電源制御方法であって、商用電源の停電時に、当該商用電源の停電状態を認識する停電認識装置と、当該停電認識装置が、商用電源の停電を認識した場合に、商用電源からハイブリッド蓄電池に切り替えて、負荷に対して電力を供給する瞬時切替装置と、を備えており、かつ、ハイブリッド蓄電池が、リチウムイオン二次電池及び鉛蓄電池の並列配置から構成されており、かつ、これらを同時駆動することを特徴とする。【選択図】図1
