PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a worm energization structure which prevents the generation of noise while energizing and pre-pressurizing a worm in an energization direction.SOLUTION: A worm energization structure comprises: a second bearing 10 which supports a worm 130 in a radial direction; a bearing holder 21 having a holder hole 31 for accommodating the second bearing 10; a compression spring 60; and a housing 111 having a housing hole 112 for accommodating the bearing holder 21. A pair of guide faces 34, 34 which extend to an energization direction, and guide the second bearing 10 to the energization direction are formed at a portion which intersects with the energization direction out of an internal peripheral face 113 which surrounds the holder hole 31, an interval W34 between a pair of the guide faces 34, 34 is not larger than an outside diameter D10 of the second bearing 10 in a state that the bearing holder 21 is accommodated in the housing hole 112, the outside of the guide face 34 is thinned in thickness at the bearing holder 21, and a clearance S is formed between an external face 35 at the outside of the guide face 34 and the housing hole 112.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】ウォームを付勢方向において付勢し予圧しつつ異音の発生を防止するウォーム付勢構造体を提供する。【解決手段】ウォーム130をラジアル方向で支持する第2軸受10と、第2軸受10を収容するホルダ孔31を有する軸受ホルダ21と、圧縮コイルばね60と、軸受ホルダ21を収容するハウジング孔112を有するハウジング111と、を備え、ホルダ孔31を囲む内周面113のうち付勢方向と直交する部分には付勢方向に延びると共に第2軸受10を付勢方向においてガイドする一対のガイド面34、34が形成され、軸受ホルダ21がハウジング孔112に収容された状態において、一対のガイド面34、34の間隔W34は、第2軸受10の外径D10以下であり、軸受ホルダ21においてガイド面34の外側は肉抜きされ、前記ガイド面34の外側の外面35とハウジング孔112との間に隙間Sが形成されている。【選択図】図3
