PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent extraneous charging of a battery in cases where an auxiliary-equipment current is small even with a high stop time ratio, or where a stop time ratio is low even with a large auxiliary-equipment current.SOLUTION: A battery charge control apparatus, incorporated in a vehicle that includes an engine, a battery rechargeable with a power generation amount of a generator driven by power of the engine, and an auxiliary equipment set capable of operating on the battery, includes: a stop time ratio obtainment part for obtaining a stop time ratio in a given period of the vehicle; an auxiliary-equipment amperage obtainment part for obtaining an amperage in the auxiliary equipment set as an auxiliary-equipment amperage; and a charging-target value setup part for setting a charging-target value of the battery on the basis of the stop time ratio and auxiliary-equipment amperage. The charging-target value setup part sets the charging-target value on the basis of map data in which a charging-target value is assigned to each respective position on a two-dimensional coordinate space that specifies a graph representing a relation where the stop time ratio is inverse proportion to the auxiliary-equipment amperage.
