PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a temperature rise of dampers of an emergency stop device provided in an elevator without complicating structure of the emergency stop device.SOLUTION: An elevator emergency stop device 4 comprises: a pair of wedged dampers 41 that hold a guide rail 2 vertically arranged in a hoistway 21 of an elevator 100; inclined bodies 44 arranged on back sides of the dampers; an elastic body 43 that imparts energizing force to the inclined bodies; and a hoisting member 42 that changes relative positions between the dampers and cars in case of emergency. Each of the dampers has: a friction material 41b provided so as to protrude to a face opposing to the guide rail; a heat absorption material 41c that is provided around the friction material and has heat conductivity higher than that of the friction material; and a support 41d that holds the friction material and the heat absorption material and is formed in a wedge shape.

    【課題】エレベーターが備える非常止め装置の構造を複雑化することなく、非常止め装置の制動子の温度上昇を低減する。【解決手段】エレベーターの非常止め装置4は、エレベーター100の昇降路21内に上下方向に配置されたガイドレール2を挟持する一対のくさび状の制動子41と、制動子の背面側に配置した傾斜体44と、傾斜体に付勢力を付与する弾性体43と、非常時に制動子と乗りかごの相対位置を変化させる引き上げ42部材とを備える。制動子は、ガイドレールに対向する面に突出して設けた摩擦材41bと、この摩擦材の周囲に設けられ摩擦材よりも熱伝導率が高い熱吸収用材41cと、摩擦材及び熱吸収用材を保持し、くさび状に形成された支持体41bとを有する。【選択図】図6
