PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce weight of a latching device for vehicles while securing rigidity.SOLUTION: A latching device 1 for vehicles that locks or unlocks through engagement to or disengagement from a rod-shaped part includes: a chassis 2 having insertion grooves 15A, 15B and 25 in which the rod-shaped part enters; and a latch 30 which is stored in the chassis 2, rotatably supported with the chassis 2, and has a hook-shaped part 33 capable of being engaged with the rod-shaped part. The chassis 2 comprises a resin chassis 10 for rotatably supporting the latch, and a reinforcement plate 20 in which the rod-shaped part enters. The resin chassis 10 and the reinforcement plate 20 overlap each other.

    【課題】乗物用ラッチ装置において、剛性を確保しながら軽量化する。【解決手段】棒状部に係合または離脱することでロックまたはロック解除する乗物用ラッチ装置1である。乗物用ラッチ装置1は、棒状部が入り込む進入溝(15A,15B,25)を有する筐体2と、筐体2内に収容されるとともに筐体2に回動可能に支持され、棒状部に係合可能な鉤状部33を有するラッチ30とを含む。筐体2は、ラッチを回動可能に支持する樹脂筐体10と、棒状部が入り込む補強板20とを備え、樹脂筐体10と補強板20とが互いに重なり合っている。【選択図】図2
