PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular collision energy absorption structure capable of suppressing an influence on an occupant at collision without causing a problem of deterioration in a hand-pushing rigid feeling of an instrument panel, cost, weight and the like.SOLUTION: A vehicular collision energy absorption structure absorbs an impact force by an energy absorption member 3 buckling-deforming when a leg part F of an occupant secondarily collides with an instrument panel 1 at vehicle collision time. A recessed part 1i which opens into a cabin and dents to the vehicle front at the instrument panel 1 is provided above one end side 3c of the energy absorption member 3. The recessed part 1i is set to the size which allows the buckling-deformed energy absorption member 3 and one part 1h of the instrument panel 1 connected to the energy absorption member 3 to enter at vehicle collision time.

    【課題】インパネの手押し剛性感及びコスト,重量等の悪化の問題を招くことなく、衝突時の乗員への影響を抑制できる車両の衝突エネルギー吸収構造を提供する。【解決手段】車両衝突時に乗員の脚部Fがインパネ1に2次衝突したときの衝撃力をエネルギー吸収部材3が座屈変形することにより吸収するようにした車両の衝突エネルギー吸収構造において、エネルギー吸収部材3の一端側3c上方のインパネ1に、車室内に開口し、かつ車両前方に凹む凹部1iを設け、該凹部1iを、車両衝突時に座屈変形したエネルギー吸収部材3及び該エネルギー吸収部材3に結合されたインパネ1の一部1hが入り込むことが可能な大きさに設定する。【選択図】図2
