PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body structure of a vehicle which achieves better collision safety performance than a conventional vehicle body structure, and to provide a manufacturing method of a vehicle body.SOLUTION: A vehicle body structure of a vehicle includes: a division panel 13 which extends in a width direction in a vehicle body 1 pivotally supporting wheels FT of the vehicle and divides a front chamber 2 or a rear chamber 4 of the vehicle body 1 from a passenger compartment 3; and side panel parts 17, each of which is joined to the division plate 13 at a position in a side part of the vehicle body 1 that is located at a front corner or a rear corner of the passenger compartment 3. Each side panel part 17 has an outer flange part 32 extending in a vertical direction of the vehicle body 1. The division panel 13 includes an inner flange part 31 extending in the vertical direction. The side panel part 17 includes an extension part 381 extending inward in the width direction. The outer flange part 32 is formed at an inner end part of the extension part 381. The vehicle body structure of the vehicle has joint parts 37, each of which is formed by the inner flange part 31 and the outer flange part 32 being joined to each other.
