The composite skin (26) extends between an exterior surface (28) and an interior surface (34). The thermal anti-icing system (24) includes a susceptor (36) and a waveguide (44A, 44B). The susceptor (36) and the waveguide (44A, 44B) are integrated into the composite skin (26) between the exterior surface (28) and the interior surface (34). The waveguide (44A, 44B) is configured to direct microwaves to the susceptor (36) for melting and/or preventing ice accumulation on the exterior surface (28).
