The purpose of the present invention is to provide a rack guide with which a lubricant retention groove is stably replenished with lubricant from a rack bar when the rack bar slides relative to the rack guide. A lubricant retention groove 122, which extends in a rack guide widthwise direction orthogonal to a rack guide longitudinal direction and retains lubricant G present between a rack bar SD3 and a support surface 120A, is provided to the support surface 120A, the lubricant retention groove 122 including a ship bow-shaped lubricant introduction region 122a for introducing the lubricant G, and a lubricant retention region 122b that is connected to the lubricant introduction region 122a and retains the lubricant G introduced from the lubricant introduction region 122a. The lubricant retention region 122b of the lubricant retention groove 122 is provided to a contact region 120A1 of the support surface 120A, and the lubricant introduction region 122a of the lubricant retention groove 122 is provided to a separated opposing region 120A2o on the outside of the support surface 120A, together with being formed symmetrically with respect to a groove longitudinal direction central axis A parallel to the sheet widthwise direction.
