Mobile robots that include a front, a rear, a left side, and a right side, the mobile robots comprising a chassis (115), a drive wheel (105) coupled to the chassis by a coupling that allows at least some vertical motion of the drive wheel relative to the chassis (115), a payload deck (110) disposed over the chassis (115) and coupled to the chassis by a coupling, and a mechanical link (162) that links the payload deck (110) to the coupling of the drive wheel (105) to the chassis (115). The coupling between the payload deck (110) and the chassis is rearward of the mechanical link (165).(Figure 1)
