A driverless ground vehicle for coupling to an aircraft that is situated on the ground comprises a vehicle base, a chassis arranged on the vehicle base and having wheels, a control unit, a drive, an electrical energy storage unit and a coupling unit, the drive being coupled to the chassis for the purposes of moving the wheels, the coupling unit being arranged on the vehicle base and bearing an electrical line which is connectable to the electrical energy storage unit and which has a first electrical connector at a distal end. The coupling unit is configured to move the first electrical connector relative to the vehicle base for the purpose of coupling said first electrical connector to a second electrical connector, and the control unit being connected to the drive and to the coupling unit and being configured to activate the drive for moving the ground vehicle to the aircraft and to activate the coupling unit for moving the first connector into a predefinable position on the aircraft in order to establish an electrical connection with the second electrical connector, which is situated at the predefinable position.
