An operation pedal system (1) that is installed in a straddle-type vehicle (81) includes an operation pedal (13) having an arm portion (14) and a pedal portion (15), and a tread surface forming member (21) that is attached to the pedal portion (15) to form a first tread surface (11) above the pedal portion (15) that receives a stepping force when a stepping operation is performed on the operation pedal (13). In the operation pedal system (1), the tread surface forming member (21) is separate from the operation pedal (13), and the tread surface forming member (21) has a body portion (22) having a tread surface forming surface (23) forming the first tread surface (11) on an upper surface, and an attachment mechanism (28) provided on the body portion (22) for detachably attaching the tread surface forming member (21) to the pedal portion (15).
