The road vehicle (1) comprises a current consumer (5) having at least one contact strip (10) - that can be lifted and lowered - per contact pole (9) for supplying energy from a two-pole overhead contact line system. The charging station (4) comprises at least one charging contact (11) per contact pole (9), which are arranged above a charging position for the road vehicle (1) and next to one another in such a way that at least one point of contact can be produced between the contact strip (10) and the charging contact (11) for each contact pole (9). With at least one charging contact (11) having a contact element (14) at the lower end thereof, which in turn has a deformable cushion (15) and an electrically conductive flexible casing (16), a charging station (4) for stationary charging is provided, which has a simple and straightforward construction, as well as being robust, versatile and economical.
