When a the case of a rotary electric machine has an inner case member that houses a stator and an outer case member that houses the inner case member, a vibration that is transmitted from the stator to the outer case member via the inner case member is suppressed. The inner case portion (1) is provided with a first tubular portion (11) and a first protruding portion (13) that protrudes toward a radial inner side (R2) from the first tubular portion (11) on an axial first side (L1). The outer case portion (2) is provided with a second tubular portion (12) and a second protruding portion (14) that protrudes toward the radial inner side (R2) from the second tubular portion (12) on the axial first side (L1) with respect to the first protruding portion (13). A coolant flow path (16) is formed between the first tubular portion (11) and the second tubular portion (12), and the first protruding portion (13) and the second protruding portion (14) are fixed to each other.
