Zip-line system comprising a trolley (3), a rope (2) and a deceleration system (10, 11), the trolley being configured to travel along a rope. The deceleration system comprises at least one magnet (15) arranged adjacent to the rope. The magnet is arranged such that its axis connecting magnetic north and magnetic south is substantially perpendicular to the direction of the rope and the trolley comprises an electrically conducting member (25) for interacting with the magnetic field in response to travelling along the rope. The trolley comprises a first frame member (17) and a second frame member (25) sandwiching at least one pulley (18 ,19), a first salient (23) attached to the first frame member and a second salient (27) movably attached to the second frame member. The second salient is movable between a travel position and a trolley launching position.
