In response to an EVHEV mode-switch request (t2), an engine is started up and a clutch CL is engaged. From the time that startup of the engine is complete (t3), engine rotation is input to a transmission, whereby it is possible to compute an actual transmission gear ratio Ip. In a case of a difference between this actual transmission gear ratio Ip and a target transmission gear ratio tIp, a deficit with respect to the requested drive power, equivalent to a transmission gear ratio deviation Ip between the two, arises, causing discomfort to the driver. By performing increase correction of motor torque Tm by a motor torque correction amount Tm necessary to eliminate the surplus or deficit of drive power, or by performing increase correction of engine torque Te by an engine torque correction amount Te necessary to eliminate the surplus or deficit of drive power, the drive power surplus or deficit caused by the transmission gear ratio deviation Ip can eliminated, relieving discomfort to the driver.
