The invention discloses a traction type vertical elevator steel wire rope guiding system which comprises a traction machine, a steel wire rope guiding device, a steel wire rope guiding device, a steel wire rope guiding device, a steel wire rope guiding device and a steel wire rope guiding device. The first car diversion sheave and the second car diversion sheave are axially arranged on the top surface of the elevator car at intervals; the counterweight diversion sheave is axially arranged on the top surface of the elevator counterweight block; and one end of the traction steel wire rope is fixed on the bearing beam, and the other end of the traction steel wire rope is fixed on the bearing beam after bypassing the counterweight diversion sheave, the traction sheave, the first car rope sending sheave and the second car rope sending sheave. The elevator guide system effectively solves the problem that an existing guide system is too large or insufficient in elevator traction force, the elevator operation quality is improved, and the elevator manufacturing cost is reduced.
