The invention provides a steel wire rope anti-skid elevator traction machine which enables a steel wire rope to be assembled quickly and conveniently and ensures stable and reliable operation of the steel wire rope. The body part comprises a machine base and an end cover, the machine base comprises a sleeve and an annular end plate, the end face, away from the annular end plate, of the machine base is an open end face, and the open end face of the machine base is covered with the end cover; a stator assembly; the rotor assembly comprises a rotating shaft and a rotor part; and a traction sheave. A rotating shaft is inserted in an inner cavity of the body part, one end of the rotating shaft in the length direction protrudes out of a center hole of the annular end plate and then is fixedly sleeved with a traction wheel, and the other end of the rotating shaft in the length direction protrudes out of the end cover and then is provided with a brake disc. An electromagnetic control structure of the brake drives the brake pad to be away from or attached to the brake disc for braking; at least one rope blocking rod is arranged at the position, corresponding to the periphery of the traction wheel, of the body part, and the side protruding length of the rope blocking rod covers all annular grooves of the traction wheel.
