The method comprises the steps that the initial charge state of the robot is acquired; if the initial charge state is smaller than or equal to a first charge state threshold value, generating a battery replacement request for indicating a user to plug a charger to a charging port of the robot; when it is detected that the charging port is connected to a charger, the robot is controlled to be switched from battery circuit power supply to charger circuit power supply; when it is determined that the battery of the robot is replaced, removing prompt information is generated, and the removing prompt information is used for prompting a user to remove the charger from the charging port; and when it is detected that the charger is removed from the charging port, the robot is controlled to be switched from charger circuit power supply to battery circuit power supply. According to the method, the robot is kept in the power-on state all the time in the robot power conversion process, data loss caused by power failure of the robot in the robot power conversion process is avoided, and the power conversion reliability of the robot is improved.
