The invention belongs to the technical field of airborne environmental control/thermal management. Relates to a helicopter evaporation cycle refrigeration system and a control method. The system comprises a refrigeration assembly, a heat source assembly, a hot air collection assembly and a refrigeration control box. Stable control over the condensation temperature is achieved by controlling the air volume of a condensation fan and the hot air flow of a lubricating oil radiator, the temperature of the wall face of an evaporator is made to be above the defrosting temperature all the time, frequent defrosting of a high-altitude flight refrigerating system is effectively avoided, and the flight efficiency is improved; by recycling lubricating oil waste heat to preheat the atmosphere outside the cabin, the defrosting frequency of a refrigerating system can be reduced, even defrosting is avoided, efficient work of a pilot is guaranteed, and the flight efficiency is improved.
