The invention provides a high-strength and high-toughness cast aluminum alloy and a preparation method and application thereof.The high-strength and high-toughness cast aluminum alloy is prepared from, by mass, 6.0%-10.0% of Si, 0-0.20% of Fe, 0-0.20% of Cu, 0-0.20% of Mn, 0.30%-0.75% of Mg, 0.10%-0.42% of Cr, 0.10%-0.40% of Ti, 0.01%-0.05% of Sr, 0-0.20% of Zn, 0.10%-0.40% of La, 0.05%-0.35% of Sm and the balance Al and inevitable impurity elements, and the total mass of La and Sm is 0.15%-0.6%. According to the high-strength and high-toughness cast aluminum alloy, by controlling the proportion range of all the elements, the microstructure of the alloy is regulated and controlled so as to improve the mechanical property, meanwhile, the casting fluidity of the alloy is improved, and therefore the high-strength and high-toughness cast aluminum alloy with the high strength and plasticity is obtained.
