The invention provides a collision avoidance assistance device and a collision avoidance assistance method. According to the device and the method, information obtained by a front light detection and ranging (LiDAR) sensor and a front camera is used for judging the risk of collision with structures such as guardrails existing in a driving path, and then expected braking control is started.
