The present disclosure provides an impact absorbing device capable of improving the degree of freedom of the arrangement position. The shock absorbing device includes a shock absorbing member and an auxiliary member. The impact absorbing member is attached to the installation surface of the base so as to be rotatable about a first rotation axis extending in a first direction, and reversibly switches between a stowed state and a protruding state, and the auxiliary member is attached to the installation surface of the base so as to be rotatable about a second rotation axis, and reversibly switches between a stowed state and a protruding state. The height of the impact absorbing member from the base portion in the protruding state is higher than the height of the auxiliary member from the base portion in the protruding state, and at least a part of the impact absorbing member and at least a part of the auxiliary member face each other in the protruding state. The impact absorbing member is fitted to the auxiliary member by deforming when subjected to a load having a component in the opposite direction to the installation surface side of the base.
