The invention relates to the field of electric vehicle charging, and discloses a charging device for maximizing the charging efficiency of a direct current charger, which comprises charging terminals, charging modules and a direct current contactor, and is characterized in that the charging modules are divided into a plurality of charging modules according to the number of the charging terminals; a charging gun of the charging terminal is connected with a group of charging modules through a direct current contactor, modules in each charging module are arranged in parallel, and adjacent charging modules are connected through a direct current contactor. The method has the effects that the optimal output power interval of the module is set according to the output characteristic curve of the module, and the calling scheme of the module is updated according to the use condition of the charging terminal and the real-time requirement of the vehicle end in the charging process, so that the actual output of the module is always in the optimal output power interval range.
