The invention relates to a route deviation early warning method, device and equipment of a public transport vehicle and a medium, and the method comprises the steps: determining a target advancing direction of the public transport vehicle at a road fork, then recognizing an obstacle from a road image through a target detection model, and according to the actual position of the obstacle, carrying out the early warning of the route deviation of the public transport vehicle; the method comprises the steps of selecting a selectable advancing direction capable of enabling a bus to completely avoid obstacles according to the current advancing direction of the bus, determining whether the selectable advancing direction deviates or not according to an included angle between the selectable advancing direction and a target advancing direction, and if the current advancing direction of the bus belongs to the selectable advancing direction which deviates, sending out a route deviation early warning. According to the method, the selectable advancing direction is planned to assist a driver in driving, and if the current advancing direction of the public transport vehicle is judged to belong to the selectable advancing direction which can deviate, the route deviation early warning is sent out, so that the running of the public transport vehicle is effectively supervised, and the vehicle deviating from the running route is found in time.
