The controller is configured to control all the bridge arms corresponding to the windings of the motor, so that driving and battery self-heating are coordinated, and wave crests and wave troughs of actual N-line current flowing through the N lines of the motor are counteracted or superposed with wave crests and wave troughs of actual phase current flowing through each phase winding of the motor, the amplitude of the actual phase current of each phase winding at the wave crest and the wave trough becomes smaller or larger, so that larger phase current is provided for the motor to drive the motor, the torque output by the motor is larger, and the power performance of the whole vehicle is improved. Or the heat production amount of the electric drive system is increased. According to the energy conversion device, the power performance of the whole vehicle is selectively improved or the heat production amount of an electric drive system is selectively increased in the battery self-heating process.
