The invention relates to a method for modeling the navigation environment of a vehicle (100) equipped with an environment-sensing device (1), a decision module (2) and an autonomous control device (20) for autonomous control of the vehicle, characterized in that: the navigation environment of the vehicle (100) is modeled; the method comprises the following steps: a step (E1) of defining a global environment model (MENVG) of the vehicle as a structured information set constructed by data provided by the environment-aware device (1); and a step (E2) of receiving, from the decision module (2), a request (RDP) of information relating to a decision (DP) to be made by the autonomous control device (20) for controlling the vehicle.
