The invention relates to the technical field of hybrid electric vehicles, and discloses a hybrid electric vehicle working mode control method and device, a hybrid electric vehicle and a medium. When the hybrid electric vehicle is in a pure electric mode, the required power of the hybrid electric vehicle, the discharge power of a power battery and the current speed and the current gradient of the hybrid electric vehicle are obtained; when it is detected that the required power is larger than the preset power threshold value, the target power threshold value is obtained based on the current vehicle speed, the current gradient and the size relation between the required power and the discharging power so as to judge whether an engine needs to be started to provide assistance or not. When it is detected that the required power is larger than the target power threshold value and the discharge power is smaller than the target power threshold value, the working mode of the hybrid vehicle is switched into the hybrid mode, an engine on the hybrid vehicle is controlled to be started, and normal operation of the vehicle is maintained, so that the engine is started in time when the discharge capacity of a power battery is insufficient in the pure electric mode of the vehicle; and the driving experience of the user is improved.

    本发明涉及混合动力汽车技术领域,公开了混动车辆工作模式控制方法、装置、混动车辆及介质,本发明在混动车辆处于纯电动模式时,获取混动车辆的需求功率、动力电池的放电功率以及混动车辆的当前车速和当前坡度,通过在检测到需求功率大于预设功率阈值时,基于当前车速、当前坡度以及需求功率和放电功率之间的大小关系,得到目标功率阈值,以判断是否需要启动发动机来提供助力。当检测到需求功率大于且放电功率小于目标功率阈值时,将混动车辆的工作模式切换为混动模式,并控制混动车辆上的发动机启动,维持车辆的正常运行,从而在车辆纯电动模式下动力电池放电能力不足时及时启动发动机,提升用户的驾驶体验。
