A computer-implemented method includes continuously monitoring, by an Assisted Driving (AD) system, an environment of a vehicle controlled by a driver using a sensor; using a sensor to detect available parking spaces by the AD system; planning, by the AD system and in response to detecting the parking space, a trajectory for parking the vehicle in the parking space; and generating, by the AD system in response to detecting the parking space, a prompt to the driver to cause the AD system to handle parking of the vehicle in the parking space, the prompt being performed before the vehicle arrives at the parking space.
