The invention discloses an anti-collision method for a gantry crane boom. The anti-collision method comprises the following steps: arranging an acquisition terminal on a gantry crane; constructing a portal crane group model, and obtaining the portal crane boom amplitude, the boom rotation angle, the absolute position from the portal crane rotation center to the origin of coordinates, the boom height and the absolute distance from the vertex projection point of the boom to the origin of coordinates; presetting an anti-collision deceleration distance threshold, a stop distance threshold and a height distance threshold, and setting a height verification program and a position verification program matched with the thresholds; data exchange is conducted on the adjacent portal cranes, and the absolute distance difference value and the boom height difference value between the adjacent portal cranes are obtained; and calling a verification program, respectively verifying the height difference value and the absolute distance difference value of the boom, and controlling the gantry crane boom to operate normally, decelerate or stop operating according to the verification result. According to the anti-collision method for the gantry crane boom, the dangerous operation of collision of the crane boom can be recognized, collision of the boom is automatically prevented, and the safety of crane group operation is improved.
