[Problem] To provide a sound insulation material having sound insulation properties equivalent to or higher than conventional sound insulation materials with a simple structure, including noise intruding into a vehicle cabin due to vibration generated by a bulkhead (dash panel) that partitions the inside and outside of the vehicle cabin and a vehicle component, and to provide excellent sound insulation properties in a method for mounting a vehicle component using the sound insulation material. [Means] A sound insulation material for an automobile, which is configured from a polyurethane foam material, and which is characterized in that the polyurethane foam material has a single-layer structure, the thickness of the polyurethane foam material is uniform or the thickness of only a required portion is increased, and a component for an automobile can be attached while the polyurethane foam material is compressed.

    [课题]包括由于隔开车厢内外的隔板(前围板)和汽车用部件发出的振动引起的侵入车厢内的噪音在内,用简易的构造实现与以往具有同等以上的隔音性的隔音材料,在使用该隔音材料的汽车用部件的安装方法中实现优异的隔音性。[手段]汽车用隔音材料,是由聚氨酯泡沫材料构成的汽车用隔音材料,其特征在于,所述聚氨酯泡沫材料具有单层结构,所述聚氨酯泡沫材料的厚度均匀或者仅需要部位的厚度增加,能够一边压缩所述聚氨酯泡沫材料一边安装汽车用部件。
