The invention discloses a novel vertical take-off and landing aircraft which comprises a fuselage. The main wings are symmetrically arranged on the left side and the right side of the fuselage; the plurality of support arms are symmetrically arranged below the main wings, vertical take-off and landing power units are respectively mounted at the front ends and the rear ends of the support arms, and the vertical take-off and landing power units are used for providing vertical take-off and landing power for the vertical take-off and landing aircraft; the vertical take-off and landing power unit on the support arm close to the fuselage is provided with a propeller of a coaxial reverse propeller structure, and the vertical take-off and landing power unit on the support arm far away from the fuselage is provided with a propeller of a coaxial single propeller structure; the empennage is positioned at the tail part of the fuselage and is provided with bilaterally symmetrical airfoils; the advancing power unit is mounted at the joint of the empennage and the tail of the aircraft body and provides advancing power for the vertical take-off and landing aircraft; the undercarriage is mounted at the bottom of the fuselage. The design difficulty of the vertical take-off and landing aircraft is reduced, and the safety redundancy of the vertical take-off and landing aircraft on a power system is improved.
