An engineering machinery power system comprises a control unit. The control unit is configured to execute the following operations in winch lowering operation: negative torque transmitted to the transfer case by the closed hydraulic system, torque transmitted to the cooling system by the transfer case, standby loss torque of the power system and standby loss torque of the cooling system caused by negative power generated by the winch system during winch lowering; determining the required torque increment of the open type hydraulic system according to the target steady-state torque of the engine; calculating the required displacement increment of the open type pump based on the required torque increment of the open type hydraulic system; controlling the open-type pump to operate based on the open-type pump displacement increment, and opening the switch valve to enable part of hydraulic oil output by the open-type pump to flow back to the oil tank through the overflow valve.
