The invention provides an inchworm-imitating mobile robot which comprises a clamping jaw joint, an autorotation joint, a first angle rotation joint, a second angle rotation joint and a carrier tape telescopic joint, the clamping jaw joint, the autorotation joint, the first angle rotation joint and the second angle rotation joint are symmetrically arranged based on the carrier tape telescopic joint, and the carrier tape telescopic joint is arranged on the carrier tape telescopic joint. The autorotation joint is used for enabling the robot to autorotate within the range of 360 degrees; the angle rotation joint is used for enabling the robot to complete an angle rotation range of-60 degrees to 60 degrees; the carrier tape telescopic joint can carry a camera, a sensor and the like. The inchworm-imitating mobile robot has the advantages of various movement modes, high adaptability, high movement flexibility, high carrying capacity and high modular replacement capacity.
