The invention provides hoisting equipment and a method for hoisting an offshore wind turbine jacket foundation, the jacket foundation comprises a transition pipe section, the hoisting equipment is used for being connected with the transition pipe section, and the hoisting equipment comprises a main body structure used for being connected with a crane and a plurality of connecting structures rotationally connected to the main body structure; the plurality of connecting structures are arranged in the circumferential direction of the main body structure; the connecting structure is provided with a rotating part and a connecting part, in the lifting process, the rotating part firstly makes contact with the inner wall of the transition pipe section, and a distance is formed between the connecting part and the inner wall; when the main body structure ascends in the axial direction, the connecting structure rotates relative to the main body structure under the friction action of the inner wall, the rotation starting part makes contact with the inner wall and rotates till the connecting part abuts against and supports the inner wall of the transition pipe section in the radial direction, and friction self-locking is formed between the connecting structure and the inner wall of the transition pipe section in the axial direction.
