The overwater garbage cleaning robot comprises an unmanned ship body, an intelligent control system, a power system, a sensor system, a communication system and a garbage recycling device. A hull of the unmanned ship is suspended on the water surface, data are collected through the sensor system and sent back to a shore end server through the communication system, when a shore end sends a garbage cleaning instruction, the intelligent control system transmits the data collected by the sensor system into a yolov5 deep learning model and drives to garbage according to a result, and when the unmanned ship passes through the garbage position, the intelligent control system sends the garbage cleaning instruction to the intelligent control system. And the garbage recycling device is used for recycling garbage. According to the invention, garbage on water is cleaned in a manner of unmanned autonomous control of the water robot.
