The invention provides an electromechanical braking system with motor braking compensation and a control method thereof, the electromechanical braking system comprises a brake pedal module, the brake pedal module comprises a pedal, and the pedal is used for obtaining a braking request of a driver; the sensor module is used for collecting vehicle dynamic signals; the braking module is used for executing vehicle braking; the motor module is braked through a motor; the central control module comprises a braking temperature estimation module, a battery management module and a braking coordination distribution module, the braking temperature estimation module is used for estimating the braking temperature, and the battery management module is used for monitoring the residual electric quantity SOC of a vehicle driving battery and controlling the charging mode of the vehicle driving battery and starting and stopping of a vehicle-mounted power electric appliance; the braking coordination distribution module performs braking distribution of the motor module and the braking module; the power supply supplies power to the central control module; and the connecting line is used for connecting the modules. Motor braking can be fully utilized, braking heat generation is reduced while the braking requirement is met, the service life of a braking system is prolonged, and the vehicle endurance mileage is increased.
