The novel electronic speed governor comprises a base frame, a wheel shaft, an electric triggering piece, a linkage mechanism, a first pawl and a second pawl, the wheel shaft, the electric triggering piece, the linkage mechanism, the first pawl and the second pawl are installed on the base frame, and the first pawl and the second pawl are located on the two sides of a ratchet wheel respectively and hinged to the base frame; the first pawl, the second pawl and the linkage mechanism are located on the two sides of the base frame respectively. The linkage mechanism comprises a first pull rod and a second pull rod, one end of the first pull rod is hinged to one end of the second pull rod, the other end of the first pull rod is hinged to the first pawl through a first hinge piece, and the other end of the second pull rod is hinged to the second pawl through a second hinge piece. The electrical triggering piece is in driving connection with the first pull rod or the second pull rod; when the electric triggering piece acts, the first pull rod or the second pull rod is driven to link the first pawl and the second pawl to move to be in braking fit with the ratchet wheel.
