The invention relates to a height control system capable of automatically compensating and a height control method. The height control system comprises a plurality of spring elements, a plurality of height sensors, a plurality of pressure sensors, at least one electromagnetic valve, a control module and an energy storage module. According to the height control system capable of automatically compensating and the height control method, floor height reduction caused by wheel abrasion is automatically compensated, manual adjustment of a vehicle suspension system is avoided, and the maintenance cost is reduced; the height difference between the vehicle floor surface and the platform is controlled within 10 mm under the full operation load, the passing performance of the vehicle door position is improved, and more humanization is achieved; interconnection and intercommunication of lines with different platform heights by using the same vehicle can be realized.
