The invention relates to an instrument panel cross beam for a heavy truck and a manufacturing method. The instrument panel cross beam comprises a first cross beam body and a second cross beam body which are hydraulically formed. The left end plate, the right end plate, the steering connecting piece, the longitudinal beams and the instrument panel supports are integrally formed in an injection molding mode and are all made of light metal materials or light alloy materials. Wherein two ends of the left end plate are respectively connected with one end of the first cross beam and one end of the second cross beam; two ends of the right end plate are respectively connected with the other end of the first cross beam and the other end of the second cross beam; a plurality of instrument panel brackets are respectively mounted on the second cross beam; the steering connecting piece is arranged between the first cross beam and the second cross beam and connected with the first cross beam and the second cross beam. The plurality of longitudinal beams are respectively connected with the first cross beam and the second cross beam; the production efficiency and the product consistency of the instrument panel cross beam of the heavy truck can be improved, and meanwhile the lightweight degree of the instrument panel cross beam of the heavy truck is improved.
