The invention discloses battery shut-off mechanization for direct current fast charging. A battery system includes: a battery pack configured to be selectively connected to an output terminal and a DCFC socket of the battery system; the first contactor is connected between the DCFC socket and a first terminal of the battery pack; and a first SSR (Simple Sequence Repeat) connected in series with the first contactor between the DCFC socket and the first terminal of the battery pack. And a first SSR having an open state in which current from the DCFC socket to the battery pack is interrupted and a closed state in which current flows from the DCFC socket to the battery pack, the first SSR configured to transition from the closed state to the open state prior to the first contactor, and current flows from the DCFC socket to the battery pack only when both the first contactor and the first SSR are in the closed state.
