The invention relates to the field of engineering machinery, in particular to a control method for an aerial work platform, a controller and the aerial work platform. The method comprises the steps that the compression amount of the buffer piece and the oil cylinder pressure of the hydraulic oil cylinder are obtained in real time; determining the bearing reaction of the wheel according to the compression amount and the oil cylinder pressure; and under the condition that the bearing reaction force is smaller than or equal to the first preset threshold value, the oil cylinder pressure of the hydraulic oil cylinder is adjusted till the bearing reaction force of the wheel is larger than the first preset threshold value. According to the technical scheme, the bearing reaction force of the wheel is determined by obtaining the compression amount of the buffer piece and the oil cylinder pressure of the oil cylinder. By comparing the bearing reaction force with the first preset threshold value, the oil cylinder pressure of the hydraulic oil cylinder is adjusted, so that the bearing reaction force of the wheels is changed, the aerial work platform can smoothly pass through pits or protruding blocks on the road surface even if the aerial work platform runs on the uneven road surface, and meanwhile the stability of the aerial work platform is guaranteed.
